Music Promoter and event’s organizer Fozia Hagiagi donates Soap to Azande people living in Ezo County as I CAN South Sudan Releases a Corona Song and Video

Fozia Hagiagi a music promoter and event’s organizer has donated over 10 cartons of soap to Nambia Parish in Ezo. Speaking to Rurugene news, Barani Dario Cosmos Rukuari of Bethlehem Catholic Parish Nambia in Ezo said that the people of Nambia are very grateful for the support they have received amidst the ongoing challenges posed by Corona virus pandemic.

Barani Dario further said that this is not the first time Fozia has done such charitable act, last year she sent cartons of second hand clothes to Yambio which unfortunately got lost thus didn’t reach the intended beneficiaries,

 When contacted, Fozia said that she intends to continue supporting the vulnerable communities from time to time within her means. This according to her is to ensure that the marginalized Azande people can have someone to count on in their times of need and difficulties.

 Meanwhile with support from Oxfam America, I CAN South Sudan, a Refugee Led Organization working with unaccompanied refugee children in Bidibidi Refugee Children in Northern Uganda officially released a Corona song and video on 8th December 2020.

 The new song will be used to educate and sensitize South Sudanese refugees in Uganda and the people of South Sudan about the deadly COVID-19 pandemic that has killed millions of people around the world.

 Speaking to Rurugene News, Mr. Stephen Wandu Bimo, the Executive Director of I CAN South Sudan said that the organization harnesses diverse talents of refugee children to pass messages of hope, peaceful coexistence and unity among South Sudanese communities.

 "We have realized that most refugee children in Uganda have the potential to change the world through music as they express their views and desire for peace," Wandu said.

 As a child protection organization, I CAN South Sudan gives children material support, mental health and psychosocial support, using music as a tool. It also engage unaccompanied refugee children in edutainment and social activities in Uganda and South Sudan.

 I CAN South Sudan is a registered, Refugee-Led Community-Based Organization (CBO) operating in the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Yumbe District in Northern Uganda. I CAN South Sudan is legally registered in Uganda and South Sudan to conduct child protection.
