Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala joins his Colleagues for their Plenary Assembly in Khartoum
The Sudan and South Sudan Bishops' Conference is set to begin their Annual plenary Assembly from October 18th – 25th ,2022 in Khartoum capital of the Republic of the Sudan. Their plenary annual assembly goes around between the two nations!
This year the plenary will look at the national celebration of synodality, Pope Francis possible visit among other issues.
According to Bishop Eduardo, the main function of the plenary is to take the decisions necessary to pursue, in a spirit of collegiality, a closer collaboration among the bishops to address the pastoral questions connected to the development of the competences and activities of the conference.
"We will be gathering to think, to pray, to seek out, from a process of discernment where God will speak to us things that are important for us, as we try and move forward more faithfully as Christ’s Church,” Bishop Hiiboro said.
