Rev. Fr. Oboi Joachim the parish priest of St. Augustine of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura Yambio described Bible and prayer as instruments and the only way to fight corruption which is a common syndrome among God’s people.
The catholic priest said Bible and prayer are the major instruments for Christians to apply in eliminating corruption at every level of society.
In his homily, he stated, the truth can only be said through the Bible to the corrupted human, and reflecting on the book of Jeremiah he added that corruptors will be reliable to judgment at the end time.
Fr. Joachim further said those who do not participate in corruption are seen to be against those who do so, thus leading to poor development in the world.
The Parish priest lamented that People fear speaking the truth for their lives and the people who speak the truth are being hunted.
“Do not fear the challenges of this world and do not fear from those who kill only the body but fear only God and present lively challenges to him and surrender a life in Christ Jesus in pronouncing the truth of peace”. Fr Joachim explained.
He finally urged the Christians to sacrifice and commit to knowing God, “We should sacrifice selves, and commit ourselves to know God, “if you want to know God use his words”. Eventually, he demonstrated the importance of the scriptures to the faithful.
