“The name for peace, the name for development is food security, people of South Sudan need to eat if we have enough food, there will be less violence, therefore, in the year 2023, I encouraged the whole population of the Diocese of Tambura Yambio and the whole population in the republic of South Sudan to go farming to grow enough food in order that we have enough food for ourselves and for income and then develop our country” he explained.
His Lordship Barani Eduardo has urged South Sudanese to always move forward with Courage in themselves for positive changes, and he says “with courage, with hope in unity and in peace and I think as a country, as people what is important when we come to the end of the year, we have to stick to positive values, to find solutions to the issues and problems that we find as a community and that we move to the new year with new goals, new spirits in order to build our republic”, he narrates.
He added, “if we have missed peace in 2022, if we had gone angry or we had gone through unpredicted reality, in the new year we should move with a new spirit and we have to pick new strength and move with a lot of hope in this new year 2023”.
The prelate has called on South Sudanese to prepare for the coming of Pope Francis who is set to visit South Sudan in the new year 2023, stressing that it will be a special year with the visit of the Holy Father.
Hiiboro emphasizes on pope’s visit to South Sudan, saying “I would like us to prepare your homes, prepare streets, to prepare your hearts so that as the Holy Father comes in 2023 into this republic of South Sudan, he will find us ready to receive him and with peace within our hearts”, he said.
