The deputy governor of Western Equatoria state received the cycling federation leaders in his office who came to brief him about the establishment of their association in the state.
While speaking during the meeting with the team of the cycling federation led by Eng. Louis Kamsu, deputy governor Dr. Kenneth Gaaniko Baime said that governing body of this federation both national and international level should not recognize South Sudan only through one side or the others, such as war and violence but they should recognize this country as a home of talent.
Dr. Kenneth further lauded the founder of cycling in South Sudan saying, through this federation, youth can be united.
The state SPLM chairman who doubles as deputy governor Dr. Kenneth added that South Sudan needs more association at the moment in order to allow youths of this country to learn leadership.
For his part, western Equatoria state minister of youth and sports Hon. David Simbi encouraged cycling leaders to use the democratic system while forming their association in the state.
On the other hand, Mr. George Orono Simon the public relations of the South Sudan cycling federation said, “our main reason for coming to western Equatoria is to establish a Cycling Base in this great state that we named a HOME OF CYCLING so that this great state will not only be known for as state with many bicycles but a state with valuable bikes and cyclist”.
Mr. George finally said after the establishment of their office in Western Equatoria they will organize a state tournament under the theme of cycling for peace that can create unity, peace, and love among the community of the state.
