Fr. Bagbiowia Advocates for Strategic News Correspondents Across CDTY Parishes

The Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura Yambio (CDTY), Rev. Father Thomas Bagbiowia, convened a meeting with the management of Anisa Radio on Tuesday 16th July 2024, reminded the team to intensify efforts towards community education and empowerment through radio and strengthen the operation of the radio station.
In his address to the team, Fr. Bagbiowia, told the team to consider establishing news correspondents strategically positioned across parishes under the diocese to facilitate improved dissemination of local news and comprehensive coverage of parish activities.
He further commended the team at Anisa Radio for their unwavering dedication and diligence amid prevailing economic challenges. He underscored the pivotal role of the radio station in educating the Christian community through informative programming.
Highlighting the importance of seamless coordination, Fr. Thomas emphasized on fostering closer collaboration between the diocesan media house and the central administrative body.
On their part, the management of Anisa Radio through Mr. Joseph Ernesto Chakaya, expressed their steadfast commitment to aligning closely with the diocesan administration to advance their shared objectives for the betterment of the diocese.
The meeting, chaired by the Vicar General, saw the participation of key figures including the Diocesan Chancellor, Fr. Dominic Sasa, the Director of the Catholic Organization for Peace and Development (CODEP), Fr. Mbikoyo Charles, Diocesan Financial Secretary, Fr. Moses Tameregu, Asset Manager, Fr. Darius Cosmas, Communication Manager, Deacon Asis, and senior management from Anisa Radio.
