Diocesan Institutions of Higher Learning Asked to collaborate with each other in order to Synergize
The seven institutions of higher learning run by the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio have been asked to merge their programs in a bid to synergize and save on resources and also to work together as a family.
Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio, Barani Eduardo Hiiboro recommended that these institutions form a kind of synergy by being incorporated into joint programs that would enable them to share ideas, both human and material resources, and the vision of the Catholic Church and of the country.
The Bishop recommended that from now on the institutions should develop and work through a common policy on recruitment as well as learning programs in order to enhance uniformity and Catholic Identity.
The idea has been welcomed by the stakeholders and the bishop has blessed it, therefore both the seminaries and other institutions will be able to share some of the most essential programs within the diocese.
These institutions will therefore operate as satellites in different parishes but coordinated by the policy of synergy to enhance and make them work efficiently. This will ensure that all the institutions are running on the same level and none is left behind when it comes to issues of resource mobilization, planning the annual calendar of activities, recruitment policy, and processes.
Bishop Hiiboro expressed optimism about the way these institutions will be running, future sustainability, and support for each other as they endeavor to promote learning activities in the diocese.
