Catholic Leaders Launch Eucharistic Congress and Golden Jubilee in Wau

On 26th November 2023, the Catholic Bishops of Sudan and South Sudan officially launched the celebration of the Eucharistic Congress and the Golden Jubilee of the Establishment of the Catholic Hierarchy of the church in Sudan and South Sudan.
His Eminence Stephen Cardinal Ameyu Martin Mulla described the day as a great day and the faithful should make sure to remember all those who struggle to make sure the Catholic Church in Sudan and South Sudan is growing as published by Catholic Radio Network.
During the celebration which was held at St. Mary Help of Christians, Stephen Cardinal Ameyu Martin encouraged the current generation of Bishops, priests, brothers, sisters, and faithful to embrace the struggle and carry on despite the difficulty of the task after conflicts in South Sudan and Sudan.
He further added that the current leaders of the church should work for peace, reconciliation, and bringing people together. The Launching of the Eucharistic Congress and the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Establishment of the Catholic Hierarchy of the church in Sudan and South Sudan was witnessed by Bishops of the Sudan and South Sudan, priests, brothers, sisters’ governors of the states from the greater Bahr El Ghazal region, and thousands of the catholic faithful from all over South Sudan.
“One body, one spirit in Christ” was the theme of the celebration.
