The newly appointed Prime Minister in the office of King Atoroba Peni Rikito said that the Kingdom is set to draft some legal documents to guide the work of the kingdom.

Prince Tadeo Mario Sasa in a press release on Thursday 7th, 2024, told media houses that the kingdom has initiated potential projects that are necessary for the establishment of the kingdom’s affairs, and these include drafting a constitution and customary law for the kingdom, creating centers for the Azande traditional materials and establish income generating activities.

“We need to have a constitution in place and also the customary law. Those two documents are fundamental for the kingdom to operate without conflict with the government or any legal entity”.

He said the gap of over one hundred years without the kingdom had negatively affected the kingdom’s system of governance.

“You know the gap of one 107 years absence of the kingdom; we have lost so many skills that were there before. So, we need now to embark on training on local government, and peacebuilding so that there is a good functional system of the kingdom”.

In light of the onset of the rain season, Prince Mario said, the Palace plans to open up farm yards in this cultivation season to alleviate hunger in the kingdom and the state at large. “The newly appointed cabinet is on the verge of initiating training and capacity-building programs for the kingdom administration and technical supports in the area of agriculture, health, education, and culture”. Prince Tadeo stated

The Prime Minister also unveiled a plan to initiate peace and dialogue programs to mitigate conflicts in the Kingdom, hence creating a peaceful environment within the Kingdom.

The Azande Kingdom was restored in 2021 after it was dismantled more than a hundred years ago by the British colonists.
