New Civil Defense Officers Engage in Two-Month Intensive Training on Mandates and Ethics

The recently recruited civil defenses officers undergoing a field training in Yambio, have begun a two-month lesson acquisition on the mandate including the ethics and the amended acts of 2022 for the civil defense.
Mr. Colonel Henry Malesh Luis the director for civil defense in Western Equatoria State, noted that the filed officers will be equipped with laws of civil defense in order for them to become professionals, stressing that his office in coordination with the national ministry of defense have deployed two tutors to facilitate the delivery of the two months course.
Colonel Malesh added that the exercise is part of the nine months field training for the officers prior to their graduation.
Malesh further said, as part of the two months course, the officers will also undergo practical trainings including fire safety for vehicles, civil aviation and others.
“The course will add value and skills to the officers while attending their professional training in the field of civil defense”.
